Situated near the famous Lord Bala Ji temple adjoining Trimula hills in the beautiful and natural surroundings, the Ashram continues to attract thousands of devotees every year. Disciples are graced by Guruji's discourses, and participate in yoga, meditation, Hawans and other spiritual endeavors. Currently the ashram houses several temples, gaushalas, and dharmshalas. Born on 12th January 1941, at Delhi, “Guruji” as Shri.Guruvanandji Swamy is fondly known, has an illustrious educational background which includes a B.Tech, Electronics degree from IIT, Kharagpur, a B.Sc. degree in Physics Honors, an M.A. in Sanskrit, and a PhD in Astrology. His mentor was Shri Devaraha Babaji Devariya. His knowledge of all the great Vedas, Epics, Bhagavad Gita, other religious shastras, all aspects of Astrology etc. is immense, incomparable and unparalleled.

For a person who was dumb during his childhood, he is an orator beyond compare, preaching in a language understood by all laymen. He regards service to humanity as the greatest religion and work of life, and teaches the preachings of Lord Mahavir Bhagwan. His ideal is Swami Vivekananda, whose philosophies and ideologies have greatly influenced him. His simplicity, humbleness, love and affection has endeared him to all who come into contact with him. His rigorous meditation gives him the divine powers and energy to give solutions to the problems of all who come to him.

He is a great saint and philosopher, renowned through the world as a great religious leader, and has various recognitions to his credit including having won the Gold Medal, 7 times, at the All Religion World Parliament, a common global platform for debate on religious ideals, teachings, preachings and philosophies cutting across different religions and societies, which is attended by all great leaders of all religions throughout the world. His spiritual journey began under highly unexpected circumstances.The illustrious saint Shri Devraha Baba cured him of a terminal kidney ailment he was born with, and then took him under his wings in his very early childhood. At the tender age of 12 years, Guru Ji became versed in the four vedas, Ramayana, Gita, Upnishas and various Hindu scriptures.
